If you can see the router’s Wi-Fi but cannot connect, first check that you are using the right Wi-Fi name and password.
Try the following
- check the password and try again
- “forget” the Wi-Fi on the phone or computer and connect again
- restart the device you want to connect
- restart the router
- connect close to the router
- test both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz if both networks are available
If you are connected but the internet does not work
Then the problem is probably not the Wi-Fi connection itself. Check instead:
- that the SIM card is active
- that there is data left
- that the router has contact with the mobile network
- whether roaming is switched on, if needed
- that the signal light is not red
If nothing helps
If you have previously changed the Wi-Fi name, password or other settings, you can try a factory reset of the router.
Remember that a reset returns your own settings to the defaults.
