During a manual network search the router often shows all the mobile networks available in the area, not just the networks your roaming SIM is allowed to use.
That is why you may see operators in the list that the SIM card has no roaming agreement with. If you try to connect to such a network, registration may fail or you may get no internet connection.
This is completely normal. In that case, try another operator from the list.
We normally recommend leaving network selection on Auto so that the router chooses a compatible partner network itself. Manual network selection is mainly useful for troubleshooting or when the connection is slow or unstable.
How network selection works when roaming
When roaming, the device searches for available partner networks. Automatic network selection is normally the first choice, but if the connection does not work, manual network selection can be a good troubleshooting step. Remember: a network that appears in the list does not automatically mean that your SIM is allowed to register on it.
If it still does not work
Check the status of the service and then test one thing at a time. When you contact Wifi.se support, please tell us which router you are using, which SIM/eSIM it concerns, which country you are in and what you have already tested. That way we can start directly with the right troubleshooting step.
