The router flashes but does not start.

If your Hybrid Traveller flashes but does not start as usual, first check which lights are on or flashing.

If the signal light is red

If the SIGNAL light is red, it often means that the router is not getting a connection via the SIM card.

Then check:

  • that the SIM card is inserted correctly
  • that the SIM card is the right way round
  • that the card is pushed all the way into the SIM slot

Then restart the router and check the lights again.

If the problem persists

If the SIM card is inserted correctly but the router still does not start or does not connect as it should, do a factory reset.

Press the RESET button in the small hole next to the SIM slot and hold it down for about 30 seconds. A SIM tool or a thin paper clip works best.

Remember that a factory reset clears your own settings, for example a changed Wi-Fi name and password.

If the problem persists after the reset, contact Wifi.se support and tell us which lights are on, flashing or off. That helps us see more quickly what the fault may be.
