Where does the SIM card go?

On the Hybrid Traveller the SIM card slot is directly on the router.

The router uses a nano SIM, the smallest common SIM card size. Carefully insert the SIM card the right way round and then start the router. No technical installation or mounting is needed.

The Hybrid Traveller also supports eSIM, so you can use a digital SIM instead of a physical SIM card.

If you use your own SIM card that is not from Wifi.se, you should check that the SIM card’s PIN is switched off. If the PIN is active, the router may not be able to connect automatically.

You can usually remove the PIN by inserting the SIM card in a phone and going to SIM card/SIM PIN in the phone’s settings. Switch off the SIM PIN and confirm with the current PIN. Then put the SIM card back in the Hybrid Traveller.

If you use a Europe or roaming SIM, also check that data roaming is switched on.

Good to know about the Hybrid Traveller

The Hybrid Traveller receives the internet over 4G/5G and then shares the connection as its own Wi-Fi network. So two different things can affect the result: the mobile reception at the router and the Wi-Fi signal between the router and your devices. When you have problems, it is worth checking both separately.
