Can I use the QR code after a factory reset?

It depends on whether the eSIM profile is still there after the reset.

If a factory reset deletes the eSIM profile, the old QR code normally cannot be used again, as QR codes can usually only be used once.

So before resetting the phone or router, always check whether the eSIM will be deleted. If the profile has already disappeared after a factory reset, get in touch with us so that we can check what applies to your eSIM.

So with an eSIM, do not do a factory reset as the first troubleshooting step.

Note: A factory reset clears your own settings. Start with a normal restart and basic troubleshooting, unless a Wifi.se guide says otherwise.

Restart or reset?

A normal restart switches the router off and on again without deleting your settings. A factory reset, on the other hand, returns the device to its default settings. So do not do a factory reset as a first step if a normal restart is enough.

Important with eSIM

An eSIM is a digital SIM profile and does not work quite like a plastic SIM. So do not delete the profile and do not scan the QR code with another device just to test it. A QR code may be intended for a single installation, and if the old profile is deleted, a new one may need to be ordered.
