The Hybrid Traveller has no signal bars directly on the router.
Instead, you check the signal strength in the router’s web interface or in the Hybrid Traveller app. There you can see information about the mobile connection and the signal.
Remember that a strong signal does not always mean the fastest internet. The speed also depends on which operator you are connected to, whether you use 4G or 5G and how heavily the mobile network is loaded.
If the connection is poor, you can also move the router to a better spot, preferably higher up and near a window.
Placement can make a big difference
Try the router in several places, preferably in the open and near a window. The motorhome’s metal body, insulation and other obstacles can weaken the radio signal. Just a few metres away, the router may use a different frequency or a different mast and give a noticeably better result.
Good to know about the Hybrid Traveller
The Hybrid Traveller receives the internet over 4G/5G and then shares the connection as its own Wi-Fi network. So two different things can affect the result: the mobile reception at the router and the Wi-Fi signal between the router and your devices. When you have problems, it is worth checking both separately.
