Can an external antenna still help?

An external antenna can help in places with weak mobile coverage, but not with the Hybrid Traveller, as this model has no connection for an external antenna.

The Hybrid Traveller uses its built-in antennas. For the best result we therefore recommend placing the router high up, in the open and preferably near a window.

If you know that you often stay in areas with very weak coverage, another router model with a connection for an external roof antenna may be the better choice.

Good to know about the Hybrid Traveller

The Hybrid Traveller receives the internet over 4G/5G and then shares the connection as its own Wi-Fi network. So two different things can affect the result: the mobile reception at the router and the Wi-Fi signal between the router and your devices. When you have problems, it is worth checking both separately.
