Wifi Extreme uses several antenna connectors so that the mobile signal can be received and sent via several antennas at the same time.
This improves:
- signal strength
- stability
- speed
- performance on 4G and 5G networks
Why are several cables needed?
Modern 4G and 5G routers often use what is called MIMO technology. The router uses several antennas at the same time to communicate with the mobile network.
That is why an external patch or roof antenna can have several separate antenna cables that are all connected to the router.
Important when installing
If the antenna comes with several cables, all the cables should normally be connected to the correct antenna connectors on the router so that the antenna works as intended.
Carefully tighten the connectors by hand and do not use tools, as the antenna connectors can be damaged.
