Yes. The Hybrid Traveller works in Europe and can be used with both ordinary SIM cards and our data roaming SIMs for Europe.
With a data roaming SIM you have mobile data in several European countries without having to buy a new local SIM card at every border. That suits motorhomes, caravans, boats and longer trips through Europe.
How it works
Insert the SIM card in the Hybrid Traveller and check that roaming is switched on in the router. When you arrive in a new country, the SIM card automatically connects to an available mobile network.
Coverage and speed can vary depending on:
- the country you are in
- the local mobile network the SIM card connects to
- the coverage where you are
- the load on the mobile network
Data roaming SIM for Europe
Wifi.se offers data packages for use in Europe, for example 100 GB, 200 GB, 300 GB and 500 GB, valid for 30 days.
The data package is activated separately and used together with the Hybrid Traveller or another compatible router.
If the internet does not work abroad
First check:
- that the SIM card is active
- that there is data left in the data package
- that roaming is switched on in the router
- that the SIM card is in the right SIM slot
If the SIM card still does not connect, you can test it in a phone with mobile data and data roaming switched on and Wi-Fi switched off. Then you can see whether the SIM card gets contact with the mobile network.
