Not always. The most bars mean good signal strength, but not automatically that this operator gives the fastest or most stable internet.
A network with full signal may be heavily loaded, for example, while another operator with slightly fewer bars offers much more speed. This is especially noticeable when travelling with roaming.
So if the connection is slow, you can try manual network selection and test several of the operators your roaming SIM can connect to.
So do not just look at the number of bars, but also test which operator actually gives the best and most stable internet where you are.
How network selection works when roaming
When roaming, the device searches for available partner networks. Automatic network selection is normally the first choice, but if the connection does not work, manual network selection can be a good troubleshooting step. Remember: a network that appears in the list does not automatically mean that your SIM is allowed to register on it.
If it still does not work
Check the status of the service and then test one thing at a time. When you contact Wifi.se support, please tell us which router you are using, which SIM/eSIM it concerns, which country you are in and what you have already tested. That way we can start directly with the right troubleshooting step.
