Other questions

Here you will find answers to other common questions about our products, services and orders that do not fit under the other categories.

Our physical SIM cards are delivered as combination cards and can be used as standard SIM, micro SIM or nano SIM.

You simply print out the size that fits your router or device.

Mobile coverage varies depending on location, operator, terrain, buildings and network load.

You can use the operators’ coverage maps to get an estimate of the coverage where you are. Keep in mind that coverage maps are indicative and cannot guarantee signal in a specific location.

Start by restarting the router by turning it off, waiting a short while, and then turning it on again.

You can also try to:

• place the router higher or closer to a window
• check the signal strength
• test the SIM card in a mobile phone
• check if the router uses 4G or 5G
• turn off any VPN and try again

If the problem persists, resetting the router can sometimes help.

A reset restores the router to factory settings.

This means that your own changes to, for example, WiFi names, passwords and network settings may disappear.

Always follow the instructions for your particular router model before doing a reset.

Yes. If you use a roaming SIM abroad, data roaming must be activated in the router.

Many routers sold for the Swedish market have roaming turned off from the start, so the setting may need to be activated manually before the internet works abroad.

Log into the router’s administration interface and look for the mobile network or data roaming settings.

Exact menu and name may differ between different TP-Link models. We recommend that you follow the manual for your specific router model.

A common reason is that data roaming is turned off in the router.

When using a roaming SIM abroad, roaming must be enabled for the router to use a local mobile network.

Yes, if the router is unlocked and compatible with the SIM card and mobile network.

For technical issues specific to the Netgear router itself, you may need to contact Netgear support or follow the instructions for your model.

Yes. Many of our routers can be installed by the customer himself.

How the installation is done depends on which router and any antenna you have. Follow the installation guide for your particular product.

Not always. It depends on which router you use, where it is located and how good the mobile signal is.

An external roof antenna can be an advantage in, for example, a motorhome, caravan or boat where the body can dampen the signal.

Some portable routers, such as the Hybrid Traveller, use built-in antennas instead.

Yes, a physical SIM card can normally be moved between compatible and unlocked devices.

When troubleshooting, we often recommend testing the SIM card in a mobile phone with WiFi turned off to check that mobile data is working.

Yes. Chromecast, Google Streamer, Xiaomi TV Stick, Apple TV and other streaming devices can be used via WiFi from a mobile router.

Streaming uses a relatively large amount of data, so choose a data package that suits your usage.

Chromecast can be reset to factory settings if it is not working properly or if you want to reconfigure it.

Exact method depends on which Chromecast model you have. Follow Google’s instructions for your model.

Some TVs and older devices work better with 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi than with 5 GHz.

Therefore, if the router has two WiFi networks, we recommend that you try the 2.4 GHz network for the TV.

2.4 GHz normally has a longer range and works well with, for example, TVs, smart devices and older equipment.

5 GHz can provide higher speed but has a shorter range and is more affected by walls and distance.

Yes. Our SIM cards, routers and accessories are adapted for mobile internet and are often used in motorhomes, caravans, boats and holiday homes.

Which solution is best depends on where you will be using the internet and how much data you need.

Which countries are included depends on which Europe package you have chosen.

Always check the country list for the current data package before you travel, as different packages may have different coverage.

If the country is not included in your data package, mobile data may stop working.

Therefore, always check the country list before crossing the border into a new country.

Our data SIMs are used according to the terms of the data package you have purchased.

To avoid problems, we always recommend that you check which countries are included before the trip and do not use the SIM card in countries that are outside the validity area of the package.
