Wifi Extreme is a more permanent solution on a 5G router platform with an external roof antenna. Always check the power, an active SIM, data, roaming and that the antenna cables are on the right connectors according to Wifi.se’s picture guide before changing advanced settings.
How to find the cause of a slow connection
- Try a different location, preferably higher up and closer to a window.
- Run several speed tests at different times of day.
- Check whether the result changes between 4G and 5G or, when roaming, between different networks.
- Test close to the router so that weak Wi-Fi is not confused with a weak mobile signal.
Placement can make a big difference
Try the router in several places, preferably in the open and near a window. The motorhome’s metal body, insulation and other obstacles can weaken the radio signal. Just a few metres away, the router may use a different frequency or a different mast and give a noticeably better result.

Wifi Extreme is a more advanced router solution where the mobile network, antennas, APN and network selection can be set in more detail. Always start with the basic checks before changing advanced settings, because a wrong APN, manual network selection or a badly connected antenna cable can stop the internet completely.
