Can I use YouTube?

Can I use YouTube?

Yes. You can use YouTube with our routers and SIM cards, as long as the internet connection is fast enough and you still have data left in your package.

YouTube on the TV

If you want to watch YouTube directly on the TV, you need a smart TV with the YouTube app or an external media player such as Google TV Streamer, Chromecast or Xiaomi TV Stick.

The TV or media player is then connected to the router’s Wi-Fi.

YouTube abroad

YouTube normally works when travelling too. But some videos may be blocked in certain countries depending on rights and regional restrictions.

A data roaming SIM does not always give a Swedish IP address.

Do I need a VPN?

For ordinary use of YouTube you usually do not need a VPN.

If certain content is regionally restricted, a VPN service can be used in some cases. We usually recommend using the VPN directly on the device you watch on and not in the router, as a VPN in the router can affect the speed.

Keep an eye on data usage

YouTube can use a lot of data, especially in high resolution.

If you want to save data, you can lower the video quality in the YouTube app. It is also best to check on My Pages how much data you have left.
