Yes. You can use a smart TV with our routers, as long as the TV can connect to Wi-Fi and the internet connection is fast enough.
You can then use apps such as Netflix, YouTube, SVT Play and other streaming services directly on the TV.
How to connect the TV
- Open your smart TV’s network settings.
- Choose the router’s Wi-Fi.
- Enter the Wi-Fi password.
- When the TV is connected, you can open your streaming apps.
If the TV cannot find the 5 GHz network, connect it to the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi instead.
If the TV is not a smart TV
With an older TV you can use an external media player, for example Chromecast, Google TV Streamer, Xiaomi TV Stick or Apple TV, to use streaming apps.
In a motorhome or caravan, compatible media players can also be powered with our 12 V adapters, so you do not need 230 V.
Streaming abroad
Some streaming services have regional restrictions. A data roaming SIM does not always give a Swedish IP address.
If a service requires a Swedish IP, a VPN service may be needed in some cases.
Also remember that streaming can use a lot of data, especially in high resolution. Check your remaining data on My Pages.
