Can I use SVT Play?

Yes, you can use SVT Play with our routers and SIM cards, as long as the internet connection works and you still have data left in your package.

SVT Play abroad

Outside Sweden some programmes on SVT Play may be restricted. This is due to broadcasting rights and the IP address your internet connection gets.

A data roaming SIM does not always give a Swedish IP address, even if the SIM card was bought in Sweden.

If SVT Play requires a Swedish IP

If a programme requires a Swedish IP, a VPN service with a Swedish server can sometimes be used.

We usually recommend using the VPN directly on the device you watch on, for example:

• the phone
• tablets
• computers
• a compatible TV device

A VPN directly in the router can affect the speed in some cases.

Keep an eye on data usage

Streaming via SVT Play can use a lot of data, especially in high resolution. So check on My Pages how much data you have left if you use a limited data package.
