Yes, you can choose yourself via My Pages when to activate your Europe SIM.
We still recommend not waiting until the last minute. Activations take place on working days during our activation hours. If you activate late in the day or at the weekend, the activation may have to wait until the next working day.
So it is best to activate the SIM card in good time before you leave, so that you can still check that everything works before your trip begins.
Good to know about the roaming SIM
A roaming SIM connects to partner operators in the countries included in the package. Which mobile network is used can therefore vary from place to place. Data roaming normally needs to be switched on, and in some situations manual network selection can help if the automatic choice has got stuck on a weak or unavailable network.
