How much data a TV uses mainly depends on what you watch and which picture quality is used.
Approximate data usage when streaming:
- SD: about 0.7–1 GB per hour
- HD: about 2–3 GB per hour
- Full HD: about 3 GB per hour
- 4K / Ultra HD: about 7 GB or more per hour
The apps use the data
The TV itself normally does not use large amounts of data just because it is connected to Wi-Fi. Data usage is mainly caused by streaming apps such as Netflix, YouTube, SVT Play and similar.
The TV can also use data for:
- app updates
- system updates
- background services
- downloads
