It depends on the cable’s function. For the best performance, however, the 4G/5G and Wi-Fi cables should normally be connected to the correct connectors on the router.
On a combined roof antenna these can be, for example:
- 4 cables for 4G/5G
- 2 cables for Wi-Fi
- 1 cable for GPS
4G/5G cables
The four 4G/5G cables should be connected if the antenna is designed for several mobile connections. The router uses several antennas at the same time to achieve better speed and stability.
Wi-Fi cables
The Wi-Fi cables are connected to the router’s Wi-Fi connectors and are used for the wireless network to your devices.
GPS cable
You only need the GPS cable if you want to use the router’s GPS function. It does not affect the internet connection itself.
Always check the labels on the cables and the router so that each cable is on the right connector.
