If an antenna cable is labelled Wi-Fi, the cable is intended for the router’s wireless Wi-Fi signal.
A combined roof antenna often has separate cables for different functions, for example 4G/5G, Wi-Fi and GPS.
What do the Wi-Fi cables do?
The Wi-Fi cables connect the roof antenna’s Wi-Fi antennas to the router. They help the router send and receive the Wi-Fi signal, for example for:
- phones
- tablets
- computers
- smart TVs
- other wireless devices
The Wi-Fi cables are connected to the router’s antenna connectors labelled WiFi or similar.
Do not mix up the cables
Cables labelled WiFi must not be connected to the connectors for LTE/5G, as they have different functions.
So always check the labels on the cable and the router before connecting.
