How much data Netflix uses mainly depends on the picture quality you stream in.

Approximate data usage per hour:

• Low quality: about 0.3 GB
• Standard quality (SD): about 0.7–1 GB
• HD: about 3 GB
• Ultra HD / 4K: up to about 7 GB

Want to save data?

If you use a limited data package, you can lower the video quality in Netflix’s settings. This can reduce data usage considerably.
