The easiest way to test your roaming SIM is to insert the SIM card in a phone.
Switch off Wi-Fi on the phone and then check that both mobile data and data roaming are switched on. Then open a website or an app that uses the internet to check whether you can get online.
If the internet works in the phone, you know that the SIM card is active and can connect to the mobile network. You can then put the SIM card back in your router and check that roaming is switched on there too.
Testing the SIM card in a phone is also a good first troubleshooting step, because it helps us determine whether the problem is the SIM card or the router settings.
