In the summer, millions of tourists travel to “Sweden’s Hawaii” for a holiday on Gotland and Tofta Strand.<\/h4>\n

Tofta Strand is one of Sweden’s most famous beaches and the most popular beach for visitors to Gotland. Tofta Strand is a locality and a seaside resort in Gotland Municipality, located on the west coast of Gotland along County Road 140, about 20 kilometers south of the main town Visby. Many films and TV shows, such as Pippi Longstocking and Sunes Sommar, have been filmed here.<\/p>\n

If you arrive early, you can claim your own little sandpit. The waves invite play for both the young and the old. The beach has a prepared walkway all the way down to the water’s edge, making it easy to access with strollers or wheelchairs.<\/p>\n

A specialty they are particularly known for is their homemade meatballs that melt in your mouth. The hotel rooms are cozy, and with brand-new beds, you’ll sleep like a prince or princess. The parking lot for bathers, just before the Strandpensionat, is staffed by the Swedish Lifesaving Society. The parking fee helps create a protected beach. The lifeguards work on a voluntary basis to ensure that you feel comfortable and safe at Tofta Strand.<\/p>\n

In Tofta Parish, there is also much more to see, such as Tofta Church, the ship settings, or the fishing village in Gnisv\u00e4rd. Here, you\u2019ll find a world from a bygone era. If you want a guided tour, there are specific times available for that.<\/p>\n

When planning your vacation on Gotland and Tofta Strand, it\u2019s best to book in advance. Tofta Strand is the most beautiful beach on Gotland, the kilometer-long sandy beach stretches from southern Tofta to the fishing village of Gnisv\u00e4rd in the north. A fantastic sandy beach with lively activity in the southern part and more peace and quiet in the northern part. If you want to guarantee a good spot, it\u2019s best to arrive a little earlier at the southern beach to secure your own small sandpit to relax in. Furthermore, Gotland has the most sunshine hours in Sweden.<\/p>\n
