Yes. You can change the name of the Wi-Fi network in the router’s settings.<\/p>\n

The Wi-Fi name is often called the SSID<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Do this<\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. Connect to the router’s Wi-Fi.<\/li>\n
  2. Open the router’s web interface.<\/li>\n
  3. Go to the settings for WiFi \/ Wireless \/ WLAN<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  4. Change the network name, the SSID.<\/li>\n
  5. Save the settings.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    After the change, the router may restart or disconnect the Wi-Fi for a short time.<\/p>\n

    Keep the following in mind<\/h3>\n

    If you change the Wi-Fi name, your devices need to connect again to the new network name.<\/p>\n

    If the router has separate networks for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz<\/strong>, you can also give them different names so that it is easier to see which network you are connecting to.<\/p>\n

    A factory reset<\/strong> returns the Wi-Fi name to the router’s default setting.<\/p>\n

    The internet reaches the router via the mobile network. A phone or TV can therefore be connected to the Wi-Fi even when the router itself has no internet. This difference is important when troubleshooting.<\/p>\n
