During a manual network search the router often shows all the mobile networks available in the area<\/strong>, not just the networks your roaming SIM is allowed to use.<\/p>\n

That is why you may see operators in the list that the SIM card has no roaming agreement with. If you try to connect to such a network, registration may fail or you may get no internet connection.<\/p>\n

This is completely normal. In that case, try another operator from the list.<\/p>\n

We normally recommend leaving network selection on Auto<\/strong> so that the router chooses a compatible partner network itself. Manual network selection is mainly useful for troubleshooting or when the connection is slow or unstable.<\/p>\n

How network selection works when roaming<\/h3>\n

When roaming, the device searches for available partner networks. Automatic network selection is normally the first choice, but if the connection does not work, manual network selection can be a good troubleshooting step. Remember: a network that appears in the list does not automatically mean that your SIM is allowed to register on it.<\/p>\n

Check the status of the service and then test one thing at a time. When you contact Wifi.se support, please tell us which router you are using, which SIM\/eSIM it concerns, which country you are in and what you have already tested.
