It depends on whether the eSIM profile is still there after the reset.<\/p>\n

If a factory reset deletes the eSIM profile<\/strong>, the old QR code normally cannot be used again, as QR codes can usually only be used once.<\/p>\n

So before resetting the phone or router, always check whether the eSIM will be deleted. If the profile has already disappeared after a factory reset, get in touch with us so that we can check what applies to your eSIM.<\/p>\n

So with an eSIM, do not do a factory reset as the first troubleshooting step.<\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong> A factory reset clears your own settings. Start with a normal restart and basic troubleshooting, unless a Wifi.se guide says otherwise.<\/p>\n

Restart or reset?<\/h3>\n

A normal restart switches the router off and on again without deleting your settings. A factory reset, on the other hand, returns the device to its default settings. So do not do a factory reset as a first step if a normal restart is enough.<\/p>\n

Important with eSIM<\/h3>\n

An eSIM is a digital SIM profile and does not work quite like a plastic SIM. So do not delete the profile and do not scan the QR code with another device just to test it. A QR code may be intended for a single installation, and if the old profile is deleted, a new one may need to be ordered.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
