You only need to charge it for 60 minutes and then never again. This patented product is incredibly efficient. It comes charged and ready, but we always recommend charging it once before using it for the first time. A single charge is enough, and then it gets enough power to stay charged through the TV’s USB port.

Chromecast TV requires 1.5 amps to work. With our adapter plugged into the TV’s USB port, even a port that only delivers 0.5 amps will still provide perfect streaming.

If your TV’s USB port cannot provide enough current, you can use another USB charger connected to 12 volts. In other words, you can also connect this Chromecast adapter to 12 volts via a USB adapter.
